Strategy

Strategy refers to a plan of action designed to achieve a particular goal.

  • I think that strategy is very different from a plan. However, I do think that this is a very good text if we are able (respectfully) to change the "strategy" word by "high level planning".   • bingo on the small thinking -- strategy is the big picture by which we view/filter all -- tactics are the way we represnet that view -- sadly thye soemtimes get confused.
  • isnt that we all are in DM? A single minded focus on the results, and doing whatever it takes (legally) to achieve the same. I also feel too often, people present every small tactic as being the strategy and in the process, undermine its power.

Outcomes

The marketing battlefield is littered with the bones of “elegant” strategies that translated into brilliant creative, that won big awards, that drove no business, that caused the client to change agencies, and you know the rest….
