What do you predict for the future?
What does your crystal ball tell you?
How come the papers are full of people making predictions – when clearly no one seems to really have a clue…and many of those same people didn’t predict where we are today?
Listen:
Here’s something to think about: How come you never see a headline like “Psychic Wins Lottery”?
Don’t know about you – but my crystal ball is cloudy….

Same here!
Tarot cards are a litter worn out.
Switched over to designing the future instead.
Best way to predict the future is to build it! =)
same as making your own luck — only way to go!
Wow! Love what you said about designing the future instead.
No doubt about it. You are what you make of yourself to be.
Psychics don’t make money out of the future. They make it out of gullible consumers.
Making the future – being strategic, prudent, bold and creative – there are a lot of people having a go at that. They don’t all succeed. They don’t get it right each step of the way. There are up against each other at times. But it’s a lot more exciting than being a cog in someone else’s machine..
To answer your question:
There’s no consequences. Its like being a weather man, I can take a shot at what I think the future holds, say it with conviction and if I’m wrong, no sweat, I’ll get another shot tomorrow. No one ever goes back and says, hey remember when we thought ‘X’ well we were way off and here’s why. For example, remember when Facebook opened up to users with non-.edu addresses? Every tech prophet and prognosticator predicted its downfall, not to many came back and said, ‘wow we were off base on that one’.
Maybe our hubris could suffer a dash of humility, and some honesty about when we are off the mark.
